Iowa Tribe of Oklahoma

Iowa Tribe of Oklahoma will inventory and digitize more than 1,500 documents and photos in the Tribal Archive Room. Many of these irreplaceable documents are more than 100 years old and the majority could be permanently lost. Along with digitizing these historical documents, the tribe will collect personal stories, and display these stories and photographs in the tribal community center. The tribe plans to establish a Gathering Family History area in the tribal library where members can come to have their photos, letters, and out-of-copyright books scanned and reproduced digitally, and added to the collection.
