Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde Community of Oregon

The Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde Community of Oregon will publish and disseminate 10 children’s books that reflect Grande Ronde tribal history and culture. They will publish the books in English and Chinuk and provide recordings of tribal elders reading the text to accompany them. The project team will distribute copies to tribal classrooms and school districts in Oregon to enhance access to culturally relevant resources and language education. The project will benefit more than 1,800 school-aged youth served by the tribe, in addition to students across the state of Oregon.
