Citizen Potawatomi Nation

The Citizen Potawatomi Nation will enhance tribal members and researcher’s access to the Citizen Potawatomi Nation Cultural Heritage Center (CHC) Research Library’s rich educational collections to support its existing operations, increased patronage, and maintain core library services. Funds will support the director/curator’s salary, helping the CHC Research Library amplify knowledge of the traditions, culture, and history of the Potawatomi people, related Native communities and Native America. It will support travel for its library workforce to skill-enhancing professional development meetings, including the International Conference of Indigenous Archives, Libraries, and Museums. The project will provide direct benefit to tribal citizens and community members within its project service area.
