Pauli Murray Center for History and Social Justice
Log Number: MH-255853-OMS-24
The Pauli Murray Center for History & Social Justice will create an exhibit about Pauli Murray, a civil rights and LGBTQ+ activist. Within Murray’s childhood home, the multimedia exhibit will highlight Murray’s leadership roles in legal advocacy in cases such as Brown v. Board of Education and the 1964 Civil Rights Act. Staff will conduct interpretive community programs and develop educational curriculum related to the exhibit. The institution will hire a part-time public historian, and staff will work with paid, graduate student interns. Staff will share the results of the project at a professional conference.
