Island SPACE

The Island Society for the Promotion of Artistic and Cultural Education (Island SPACE) will produce programs to educate audiences about the arts, culture, and history of the Caribbean region, in South Florida and the broader diaspora community. In collaboration with other Caribbean cultural organization partners, the institution will produce a series of programmatic events, such as workshops, panel discussions, and performances. In partnership with Caribbean consulates, staff will host a book fair featuring local Caribbean authors and will live stream the program to encourage virtual participation and expand program audiences. Island SPACE will also host a children’s reading festival during Caribbean-American Heritage Month. Program partners will include members of the English, Spanish, French, and Dutch-speaking Caribbean.
