National Underground Railroad Freedom Center

The National Underground Railroad Freedom Center will create a professional development initiative, sending eight key staff members to two important conferences during the 2015 - 2016 programming year to learn about current best practices and developments in the field of museum management and educational programming. Following participation in these conferences and educational opportunities, these individuals will return to the Freedom Center and share their learnings with the rest of the staff as well as the many volunteers who power the organization. These learnings will be reflected in exhibits, educational opportunities, and public programs at the Freedom Center.
