Storm King Art Center

The Storm King Art Center will increase its ability to welcome visitors with disabilities and offer programs that meet the needs of diverse audiences through a series of trainings for the Board, staff, and volunteers. Staff will work with consultants to identify ways to make the visitor experience more inclusive, and a newly established Accessibility Advisory Group will help create accessibility trainings and initiatives. Board members, staff, and volunteers will participate in trainings that increase their knowledge of universal design, accessibility awareness, and inclusivity. Public-facing staff will learn to develop visitor engagement and educational strategies that encourage visits by people with disabilities. The project will amplify a visitor-centered spirit of hospitality throughout all levels of institutional management, supporting increased visits by diverse audiences.
