High Desert Museum

The High Desert Museum and project partner, The Museum At Warm Springs, will work collaboratively to learn from each other's expertise and share resources to create innovative visitor experiences that weave together indigenous cultural traditions and contemporary communities. Based on successful National Science Foundation-funded Cosmic Serpent and Native Universe models, the Weaving Stories project will use multiday workshops and intensive learning experiences to foster relationships across organizations and advance staff expertise. The project will empower museum professionals at two institutions to expand their capacity to develop place-based exhibitions, programs, and practices that honor indigenous perspectives.
