Gadsden Arts Center and Museum

The Gadsden Arts Center and Museum will improve the care and management of its collections by installing a comprehensive art storage system. Following the installation, the museum will prepare shelving with foam liners, move the collections to the more secure location with temperature/humidity controls, update the collections management database, and train staff on the use of the new equipment. The new system will create a designated space for sculptures, large-scale works, and textiles in a secure locked vault. The project will improve the safety of the collection and allow for improved access for both staff and visitors for enhanced assessment, study, and exhibition.
