National Museum of Toys and Miniatures

The National Museum of Toys and Miniatures will improve the care and management of its collections by rehousing 12,000 of its most vulnerable objects. Stored in an offsite location during the museum's renovation, the objects will be moved to an existing onsite storage space to provide a clean and stable environment for their long-term preservation. The museum will purchase and install a compact storage system to house fine-scale miniatures, custom-made dollhouses, and dolls composed of composite materials. The museum will add a dedicated collections assistant to work with museum staff to move and rehouse the collections, which will be more easily accessible for incorporation into the museum's exhibition program.
