University of Arizona (The University of Arizona Poetry Center)

The University of Arizona Poetry Center will improve the long-term care of its collections of contemporary poetry by purchasing and installing a mechanical-assist high-density mobile storage system in its closed-stacks Archives Room. The shelving system will provide 1,149 linear filing feet to the center's storage capacity, which equates to 15 to 20 years of sustainable collections growth. Staff members from the university library will assist with relocating and rehousing the collections. The project represents the fulfillment of a key goal in the long-term preservation plan for the center's collections.
