University of Northen Iowa (UNI Gallery of Art, University of Northern Iowa)

The UNI Gallery of Art at the University of Northern Iowa will provide conservation treatments for works on paper from the UNI Permanent Art Collection as the next step in the museum's long-range conservation plan. The museum will contract with a regional conservation center to oversee, schedule, and implement the treatment of each of the 44 objects that were identified as the highest priority items in need of care through a previously funded conservation survey. Objects long held from public view due to pervasive condition issues will once again be available for public exhibition, scholarly research, and loans to peer institutions.
