Phillips Collection

The Phillips Collection will establish an archival digitization program in collaboration with its academic partner, the University of Maryland, College Park. The museum will hire a digital assets librarian and processing archivist to work with the lead project advisor and other staff to process and digitize 105,310 items (62 linear feet) of priority archival material; create a digital repository with an associated archives catalog; establish the museum's first digital preservation plan; and make the digitized material accessible on the museum's website. The project will facilitate access and discovery of the museum's most-requested primary sources for scholarly research while building staff capacity for digital collections management.
