University of Minnesota (Weisman Art Museum)

The Weisman Art Museum will conduct a detailed collections assessment and a collection facility assessment to inform plans to redesign storage spaces for its collections and update climate control systems. The museum will work with an experienced architect/storage space consultant and conservator to outline and explore equipment requirements to increase the storage capacity of the existing storage facility on-site and provide estimates and solutions for off-site needs to safely house its collection which has expanded since the opening of its new museum building. A climate system engineer will review the environmental controls in storage and exhibition galleries to detect any deficiencies in the building environment and to ensure that they are continuing to meet industry standards.
