George Washington University (George Washington University Museum and Textile Museum)

The Textile Museum at George Washington University will broaden access to its collections by implementing an accessible database with high-resolution images and comprehensive information on collection objects representing textile art that spans five continents and five millennia. The project will engage a full-time photographer to set up a new photography studio at the museum's collections center and capture high-resolution images of 25% of its collection. Additionally, it will support the development of the next generation of museum professionals by hiring university graduate students as collections and curatorial assistants and providing them with valuable hands-on museum experience. The project will facilitate broad access to objects of global cultural heritage by students, faculty, scholars, artists, collectors, and connoisseurs.
