Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum

The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum will preserve and provide free public online access to approximately 10,000 rare, fragile, and original posters in its Hatch Show Print (HSP) Collection. The HSP Collection is composed of more than 70,000 artifacts, including posters, related prints, documents, proofs, tracings, type, blocks and photoblocks, that chronicle 138 years of American history through HSP's poster design and printing. A newly hired print collections digitization and metadata specialist will coordinate rehousing, digitizing, and cataloging of the posters. Digitization will allow for easy public access to and dissemination of this material, reaching a wide range of researchers and students. The metadata and finding aids created during the process will enable comparative and content-based original research.
