Missouri Historical Society

The Missouri History Museum will inventory, catalog, repair, and rehouse the Epsilon-Dalzell Premier Collection, currently housed in the museum's Moving Image and Sound archive. The museum will engage two full-time, temporary film preservationists, overseen by its manager for media and digital assets, who will guide project activities. The collection contains approximately 2,345 cans of film that hold an estimated 5,174 rolls of film. Full catalog records will be made publicly accessible, for viewing at no charge, through the museum's online Cross Collections Search. The collection includes advertisements, commercials, industrial films, and short films produced during the rise of television advertising in the 1950s by Premier Film and Recording Corporation, a commercial film studio once located in St. Louis, Missouri.
