New Orleans Museum of Art

The New Orleans Museum of Art will migrate its collections database from an outdated and soon to be unsupported system to a new collections management system able to meet the current needs of the museum. This project will support the hire of a full-time collections database manager, who will serve as the primary staff member facilitating the migration, and two paid interns. The project will result in the implementation of a new system that will benefit museum staff through improved efficiency, functionality, and workflow integration across collections care, exhibitions, and public programming. The project will also broaden public access to the collection by facilitating the technological infrastructure necessary to make the collection freely available to the public on the museum’s website.
