High Desert Museum

The High Desert Museum will create the Center for the High Desert Learning Hub to address the need for a welcoming and dynamic space for programs that will promote learning, connection, and inspiration. The Learning Hub will consist of six new spaces that will accommodate programs for visitors of all ages including K-12 students, teachers, families, and community groups. In collaboration with partners and community members, the project team will develop guiding principles to inform decisions about furnishings, equipment, and other components; host focus groups; select, purchase and install equipment and furnishings; and launch programs in the new space. The impact will be evaluated through surveys, interviews, and input sessions, and feedback will inform adjustments to the Learning Hub. The resulting space will catalyze responsive and innovative programming that will evoke new understandings of the region, build community connections, and inspire creativity for visitors.
