National Liberty Museum
Log Number: MA-255651-OMS-24
The National Liberty Museum will create a formalized structure for engaging community in planning, design, and implementation of exhibitions and programming about liberty. Informed by a multi-year stakeholder-driven strategic revisioning process, museum staff will work with communities to form community advisory boards and co-curate exhibitions. The museum will contract a full-time community organizer as well as a content curator, to develop a co-curation framework, which will be used to produce three exhibitions about youth movements, street art, and the commemoration of the nation’s 250th anniversary. The project will conclude with a forum that explores the intersection of public art, liberty, and legacy.
