Cultural and Heritage Museums

The Museum of York County will create an exhibit about the natural history of the Carolina Piedmont. Museum education staff will assist in the design of the exhibit, which will be targeted to meet the developmental needs of children ages 0-6 and encourage exploration of the natural world. The early learner playscape will include interactives and touch-based activities as well as specimens from the museum’s collection. Informed by the South Carolina Early Childhood Standards, the exhibit will help children visiting the space to become kindergarten-ready while learning about South Carolina ecosystems.
