Nevada Museum of Art

The Nevada Museum of Art will use funds to support the rehousing of its art and library collections in a new and expanded 50,000 square foot Education and Research Center. The project will focus on rehousing environmental photography and work by contemporary Indigenous artists as well as 10,000 library volumes and special collections objects. Staff will supervise the installation of movable storage screens for artworks and shelving for library collections as well as engage in collections care activities, such as reframing artwork. As a result of the project, collections storage will be more accessible to staff for exhibition, research, and collections care purposes.
