Filson Historical Society

The Filson Historical Society will establish physical and administrative control over its unprocessed manuscript collections pertaining to the history and culture of Louisville, Kentucky and the surrounding Ohio River Valley. Informed by a previous Preservation Assistance Grant, staff will undertake collections stewardship activities, such as accessioning, cataloging, and rehousing.  The project will allow staff to gain greater physical and intellectual control over their collections and will allow not only staff, but also the community to better access and learn from this material.
