Okefenokee Swamp Park

The Okefenokee Swamp Park will improve its ability to serve the public by creating a master interpretive plan that utilizes inclusive and equitable engagement strategies across diverse and historically under-represented audiences. The project team will contract with master interpretive planning consultants to set the foundational work, which will include regular meetings, visits to conduct site audits and collect data, before drafting the preliminary plan. Community members will provide input throughout the process through collection of oral histories, visitor surveys, and public workshops or charrettes. The resulting master interpretive plan will serve as a road map for the development of all future exhibits and educational experiences at the nature center.
