Morris Center for Lowcountry Heritage

The Morris Center for Lowcountry Heritage will partner with local educators to create a new fourth-grade school field trip program that includes museum visits and pre- and post-trip lesson plans serving every fourth-grade student in the museum’s four surrounding counties. Project activities include recruiting and onboarding a new school programs coordinator, developing field trip resources; training docents; piloting, evaluating, and refining programs; and implementing improved field trip programs. The project will serve 3,400 fourth-grade students and 120 teachers by providing interactive and engaging cross-disciplinary programs covering the local history, arts, and culture of the area.
