Botanical Research Institute of Texas (Fort Worth Botanic Garden)

The Botanical Research Institute of Texas, a scientific research, education, and conservation center that also manages the Fort Worth Botanic Garden, will migrate living collection records from their current collections management database to an enhanced platform to facilitate the accessioning of existing and future plant materials. Funds will be used to hire a Plant Records Manager who will conduct plant inventories, catalog material, perform data validation, and train staff. This project will facilitate the implementation of a living collections strategic plan and the advancement of an integrated, collections-focused approach to public engagement, resource management and species conservation.
