Detroit Historical Museum

The Detroit Historical Museum will conduct a digitization project to create high-quality digital records of three-dimensional objects in their collection, including furniture, transportation artifacts, and ship models. The project team will hire collections coordinators to work with existing staff and trained volunteers to produce images and videos of the artifacts. Staff will create social media and blog posts that will detail the progress of the project. The digitization will result in a searchable database that the institution will make accessible to the public online, benefitting teachers, students, scholars, and researchers.
