City of Springdale (Shiloh Museum of Ozark History)

To increase access for researchers and others with an interest in local history, the Shiloh Museum of Ozark History in Springdale, Arkansas, is digitizing its photo archive, which contains thousands of regionally significant images. The museum will begin by digitizing its Washington County Historical Society collection, which consists of images from the 1850s through the 1970s. The availability of a 24-hour, on-demand, online collection will make it easier for researchers and interested parties to view and assess the collection images and will allow the museum to serve broad audiences beyond its geographic location.
