Brooklyn Botanic Garden

Brooklyn Botanic Garden (BBG) will expand its Interpretive Master Plan to include a broader cross-section of perspectives and help move the institution toward its goal of becoming a more inclusive and welcoming urban museum. Based on collaborative work with community roundtable groups and curatorial advisers who have content-specific expertise (such as folklorists and ethnobotanists), BBG will develop four to six prototypes of key stories and themes that will resonate with visitors. They will train staff and docents on inclusive community engagement and storytelling about the Garden’s history and collections.
