The New Children's Museum

The New Children’s Museum is collaborating with the San Diego Unified School District to address a critical shortage of funding for the arts in schools by developing a social and emotional learning arts education curriculum for students in grades 4 and 5. The museum’s arts education team will work with the school district’s visual and performing arts department, teachers from a Title I school, and an arts therapist to create in-person and hybrid online classroom instruction, teacher training modules, and related curriculum materials. They plan to create 18 online video lessons (nine per grade) along with 16 teacher training modules (eight per grade).
