Queens Museum of Art

The Queens Museum (QM) will research, develop, and pilot design solutions for their Central Atrium to make this critical space of the museum more accessible for individuals of all ages, abilities, and linguistic preferences. In evaluating accessibility for every visitor, QM identified that their Central Atrium requires physical updates. The project, titled Central Atrium for All, will provide design recommendations that address the articulated needs of the museum's community, ensuring that all visitors can fully engage with the diverse roster of programs and resources. This project will ensure that the museum is a welcoming space for learning for all, as well as guide QM in the development of inclusive design recommendations to share across the field.
