Simple Interactions: Supporting Relationships in Informal Learning Spaces is a project of the children's Museum of Pittsburgh in partnership with the Fred Rogers Center for Early Learning and children's Media. It is designed to develop knowledge around relational practices and their importance to human interactions across a variety of informal education contexts. Staff at three partner organizations - Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, the Westmoreland Museum of American Art, and the Allegheny County Library Association - will learn practices that improve and deepen how they interact with visitors, colleagues, and external partners while also building an organizational culture around positive interaction. The common language developed as a result of these practices will help build a community of support throughout Southwestern Pennsylvania. The project also will develop an online toolkit that includes project activities and a video library of exemplary clips from each partner organization.
