University of Wisconsin-Madison (University of Wisconsin Geology Museum, University of Wisconsin System)

The University of Wisconsin Geology Museum will ensure the long-term preservation of its geological and paleontological collections by installing new compactor shelving in a repository space to create a facility that meets museum industry standards. The project will include the relocation of about 7,200 geological and paleontological specimens, installation of the new compactor shelving, and the rehousing of museum specimens in the new museum-quality drawers and shelves. Completion of the project will benefit geoscience research and raise the profile of their collections.
