Brooklyn Children's Museum

Through its community-engaged exhibition planning process known as BK Voices, the Brooklyn children's Museum (BCM) will bring families, teens, and educators from Brooklyn together to design the BK History Climber, a new exhibition for children ages 5-12 years old. Created in partnership with the Brooklyn Historical Society (BHS), the BK History Climber will live on the second floor of BCM's Crown Heights building. BK Voices acknowledges the need for communities to identify and define core narratives and components of the BK History Climber at the beginning of the design process. BK Voices will convene advisory councils to make recommendations on exhibition design and planning in collaboration with a third-party evaluator and BHS. Their work will culminate in the design, fabrication, and installation of a BK Voices temporary exhibit.
