Arkansas Arts Center

The Arkansas Arts Center (AAC) will improve the stewardship of its collections by conducting a complete inventory of 15,000 objects and rehousing two- and three-dimensional objects to ensure longevity and sustainability. The stewardship project will improve accuracy in identification and organization of the collection; knowledge of and intellectual control over the collection; quality controls, management and loaning systems, and workflow; and richer interpretation capabilities, content, and variety of exhibitions for the public. Rehousing with new acid-free materials will safely extend the collection's life. The project is intended to improve all aspects of the AAC's work, from exhibitions and educational programs to studio classes and community engagement.
