Log Number: MA-245628-OMS-20
The Baltimore Museum of Art will complete the inventory, digitization, move, and rehousing of their collection of more than 65,000 prints, drawings, and photographs from the 15th century to the present. The project will support the hiring of additional staff to conduct a complete inventory of the collection, updating object records with new/corrected descriptive data and object locations; stabilization and rehousing as needed, with issues identified for conservation staff; capturing digital images of approximately 52,000 objects (80 percent of the collection); and relocation of all 65,192 objects to the new Center for the Study of Prints, Drawings, and Photographs. The project will make the collection widely publicly accessible for the first time while preserving it for generations to come.
