Opelousas, City of (Le Vieux Village & Heritage Museum)

Le Vieux Village Historical Park and Heritage Museum will undertake an oral history project as part of the City of Opelousas tricentennial celebration. The oral history project will engage the community by inviting the city's residents to participate and share the stories of their ancestors and other historical aspects of the area, thereby creating a permanent record for future generations. Photographs shared during participant interviews will be scanned by project volunteers for exhibition purposes and will be displayed at both the Le Vieux Village Historical Park and Heritage Museum and the Opelousas Museum and Interpretive Center.
