Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art will deepen its engagement with local Hispanic/Latino communities by conducting audience research, testing new methodologies, and developing an institution-wide action plan. Working with a consulting evaluator, the museum will convene four visitor panels comprised of members of the Hispanic/Latino community, some who have visited the museum and some who have not, to critique engagement strategies, including thematic gallery installations, museum marketing messages, and bilingual label formats. The museum will consult with other museums to support the prototyping and testing of new digital label technology for the delivery of content in an art museum setting. A multi-departmental team will review project findings to make short-term changes and develop an institution-wide plan for the future.
