Log Number: MA-20-17-0505-17
The Krasl Art Center will embark on the final planning and implementation phase of its comprehensive master plan, Sculpting Community, which is centered around community-driven exhibitions and programs in the free and publicly accessible greenspace on its grounds. The place-making project will result in the re-design of the grounds, and commissioning of a site-specific sculpture to be showcased on the site. The project will include construction document development and administration, activity testing and implementation, sculpture placement, sign design and installation, and evaluation. Sculpting Community is a project responding to community needs for outdoor gathering spaces, increased social engagement, public art, event spaces, and connectivity. It will allow the community and visitors alike to interact and engage with the arts through self-directed activities, free programs, changing sculpture exhibitions, and a memory making space.
