Minnesota Historical Society

The Minnesota Historical Society will adapt the National Museums Liverpool's House of Memories dementia awareness training program to assist professional and family care partners in meeting the needs of a diverse, aging population and improving the quality of life for those living with dementia. The museum will launch a U.S. version of the digital memory resource for iPads and other tablets with more than 100 culturally relevant objects and photographs from its collection that have been tested and approved by people living with dementia. The museum will work with National Museums Liverpool and community partners in Minnesota to write and produce new training videos and a toolkit for professional care providers and family care partners. Training Days for professional and family care partners and a free My House of Memories app will provide the target audience with new skills and understanding of these resources.
