Long Island Children's Museum
Log Number: MA-10-19-0224-19
The Long Island Children's Museum will implement the second phase of LICM4all -- a museum-wide initiative to reach, engage and better serve visitors with differing abilities, especially neurodivergences and mobility difficulties. An earlier Museums for America grant supported the initial planning, prototyping, and evaluation phase of the initiative. This phase will include updates and revisions to the logic model, expanded staff training, implementation of programs and enhanced facility components, increased marketing and website content development, and the development of a sustainability plan. The museum will continue to work with an advisory committee and launch the Long Island Accessibility Consortium. It will also disseminate best practices and lessons learned to local, regional, and national peers.
