National Society of The Colonial Dames of America (Dumbarton House)

Dumbarton House will assess and refine its Interpretive Plan to improve the visitor experience. The new plan will help the museum develop more interactive learning opportunities, new engagement uses for second floor galleries, new programming, and will prioritize future research efforts. The aim is to further enhance the museum's ability to interpret the federal period decorative arts, architecture, and life in the city of Washington during the formative years of the early Republic. Staff, volunteers, and board members will gain experience in visitor evaluation and improve the museum's ability to integrate audience evaluation into ongoing interpretative development efforts.
