Omaha Children's Museurm

Omaha Children’s Museum will produce three temporary traveling exhibits to be shown in Omaha and other venues. “Construction Zone: The Re-build,” “Kid’s City,” and “Things that Go” will tap a number of community partners, with compatible missions and knowledge, to help in the process of designing and building these exhibits. Through these interactive and engaging exhibits, children will gain confidence by visiting the future. Seeing themselves in a role such as a construction worker, banker, or train engineer, the children will become secure in their hope and their role in the future. Additionally, the museum will institutionalize this practice of community-driven exhibit design and fabrication with the addition of a full time exhibits manager.
