Purpose: Serving as Centers of Community Engagement In this project, the Paris Gibson Square Museum of Art will increase its community outreach through an expanded and reinvigorated membership program. By developing a comprehensive membership program rooted in community interests and managed by a full-time employee, The Square will increase its capacity to serve its public and simultaneously build sustainable, renewable operating income. The primary components of the project are (1) to create a new position, membership coordinator, to develop and manage a new program; (2) to engage a membership consultant to guide program development; (3) to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the existing membership structure; (4) to survey the current membership to assess their needs; (5) to design and implement a new membership program; and (6) to conduct ongoing program evaluation. The project will progress in five steps: research, assessment, planning, program implementation, and evaluation and modification. Through solid research and planning, The Square will create a membership program that addresses the identified needs of potential and current members and incorporates incentives to facilitate its financial growth.
