Magic House, St. Louis Children's Museum
Log Number: MA-02-06-0204-06
The Magic House created the Star-Spangled Center learning environment for citizenship education. The focal point of the Museum’s $15 million capital expansion, the Center featured a domed Rotunda space, a Legislative Chamber, a Courtroom, and an Oval Office where visitors can learn about the duties and responsibilities of the three branches of government. MFA funding enabled The Magic House to create the exhibit areas, produce interpretive exhibits on American history and government, and to pilot and implement educational programs and develop assessment tools to evaluate their effectiveness.
