Curious Kids Museum

Purpose: Sustaining Cultural Heritage The project will bring the necessary technology to Curious Kids' Museum to achieve its long-range vision plan and goals. It will provide the required technology and culture to support visitor, member, and donor requirements and expectations for optimum customer satisfaction. Under this grant, the museum will acquire a software system for integrated management and smooth operations in admissions, school and group reservations, gift shop sales and inventory, membership database and drives, and building rentals and parties. Especially vital is software for fundraising, including compete donor record files. The museum will also acquire the hardware necessary to operate the integrated package. It will purchase, adapt, and install five computers with current server software and backup systems. The grant will support training for the six staff members who will operate the system and the part-time Long-Range Vision Plan support person. It will enable the museum to provide visitors with faster and more accurate confirmations of their reservations; to provide donors, including foundations and business organizations, with accurate, timely information; and to provide board members and Vision Plan teams with the reports and evaluations they need for fundraising and planning activities.
