The U.S. Virgin Islands Public Library System will use funds to support the goals of their Five-Year Plan for FY 2023-2027, which reflect the purposes and priorities of the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA). In the U.S. Virgin Islands, specific goals include: 1) Promote Literate U.S. Virgin Islands - develop library services, programs, collections, and partnerships that promote learning, literacy, and community connection for residents of all ages, including underserved populations; enhance the knowledge and skills of U.S. Virgin Islands residents, and ensure cultural heritage resources and programming are made widely available; 2) Provide Information Access - including connectivity, technology infrastructure, and e-content; and 3) Strengthen Institutional Capacity - including workforce development, library assessment, and facilities planning and disaster preparedness.
