Feleti Barstow Public Library, the designated State Library Administrative Agency for American Samoa, will use funds to support the goals of their Five-Year Plan for FY 2023-2027, which reflect the purposes and priorities of the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA). In American Samoa, specific goals address maintaining, expanding, and promoting: 1) Technological capacity and services; 2) Literacy programs; 3) the Polynesian Photo Archives (PPA), an ongoing joint initiative between the State Library and the American Samoa Historic Preservation Office to electronically catalog and physically preserve historic still and moving images; and 4) Professional development of the state library workforce.
