Arkansas State Library

The Arkansas State Library will use funds to support the goals of their Five-Year Plan for FY 2023-2027, which reflect the purposes and priorities of the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA). In Arkansas, specific goals include: 1) Enhance Access to Information for Lifelong Learning - expanding access to information resources of all types through digitization, preservation, maintenance of collections; and by maintaining, improving, and creating new models of access to those resources; 2) Provide Training, Professional Development, and Resources to the State’s Library Workforce - improving staff skills, promoting leadership, and enhancing recruitment efforts; 3) Provide Programs to a Broad Audience with Diverse Information Needs - enriching the lives of Arkansans through programs, services, and resources; and 4) Enhance the Technological Environment of Arkansas Libraries - providing IT consultation services and facilitating opportunities for the testing and implementation of new and emerging technologies.
