Log Number: LS-250216-OLS-21

The Maryland State Library will use funds under the American Rescue Plan Act to help communities respond directly and immediately to the pandemic, as well as to related economic and community needs through equitable approaches in digital inclusion and library services. They will continue to support the goals of their Five-Year Plan for FY 2018-2022. In Maryland, specific goals address 1) strengthening libraries' institutional capacity through collaborative continuing education and staff development opportunities; 2) helping libraries improve access to information for their users; 3) helping libraries develop lifelong learning opportunities to improve users' formal education and general knowledge and skills; and 4) helping libraries foster economic and employment development opportunities in order to facilitate job growth in Maryland.
